Rebecca Cary is the founder of Hands of Justice, an anti-trafficking non-profit located in Montgomery County, Texas. She is also a Consultant, Educator, Author, Speaker, and Overcomer Leader. She recently graduated with a Masters in Victim Studies at Sam Houston State University. She went on to teach two years of Victimology and Problem Analysis in Victim Studies for the same department. Rebecca is certified in Global Injustice Response Training, formally held the Co-chair and Survivor position on the board for the Montgomery County Coalition Against Human Trafficking and served on the Survivor Council for the state of Texas for over 2 years. She has been featured in a PSA and small film produced by Goya Foods for their Goya Cares initiative, been headlined on NBC and several other small films. As of April of 2022, Rebecca wrote and released her first book, “When Silence Ends” featuring the stories of over 20 other Overcomers. The second volume was released in June of 2024. Rebecca also opened an economic empowerment and resource center for Overcomers in the summer of 2022. This was the first of it’s kind in the tri-state area.

Rebecca retired from the Executive Director position for Hands of Justice in October of 2024. She is currently heading the new National Overcomer Leader Initiative alongside anti-trafficking nonprofit, Call to Freedom.  She continues to educate, consult and advocate for Survivors on a national level. She is in the process of writing her autobiography and is working on several large projects with partners within the anti-trafficking arena.
